Dan Pomerantz, M.Sc. (Founder)
I founded Logical Minds Academy based on the premise that mastery of topics comes from understanding rather than rote memorization. I offer structured, high-level guidance to university students, ambitious school applicants, and adult lifelong learners alike. Our mission at the academy is to help people develop independent problem-solving skills through 1-on-1 or small group instruction of Computer Science, Mathematics, and Chess.
- 15+ Years Higher-Ed Experience: Longtime higher-education lecturer at Dawson College and McGill University.
- 10 Years Industry Experience: Ex-Software Engineer at Microsoft and Ericsson.
- Degrees: Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science & B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science (McGill University).
- Chess Credentials: National Expert and Candidate Master (Peak 2200+ CFC / 2400 lichess.org).
At Logical Minds Academy, teaching Computer Science, Math, and Chess is not about regurgitating formulas. Rather it is about training your brain in pattern recognition.
